Matar Pulao (Peas Pulao) By Urdu Recipe
This Quick & Delicious recipe will have everyone wanting more. the Matar Pulao has a rich taste of mind-blowing aroma of whole spices which makes this dish a really mouth-watering one.
INGREDIENTS:
*Oil (1/2 cup)
*Basmati Rice (750 gm)
*Peas (1/2 kg)
*Onion Sliced (1 med)
*Ginger Garlic Paste (1 tbsp heap)
*Yougert (125gm)
*Green Chillies Crushed (1 tbsp heap)
*Green Chillies Sliced (2)
*Salt (as required)
*Stock Cube (1)
*Black Cumin (1 tsp)
*Black pepper (8-10)
*Cloves (8-10)
*Black Cardamom (1)
*Bay Leaves (2)
*Green Cardamom (4)
*Cinnamon Stick (2" of 1)
*Fennel Seeds (1 tbsp)
*Coriander Seeds (1 tbsp)
*Mint Leaves Chopped (2 tbsp)
*All Spice Powder (1/2 tsp)
*Brown Onion Crushed (1/2 cup)
Method:
1.Take a pan add oil, black cumin & whole spices.Fry untill oinion colour change in light golden.
2.Add ginger garlic paste fry few mins.
3.Add yougert, green crushed chillies, salt, fennel seeds crushed, coriander seeds crushed & chickens stock cube.Mix well, Cover & until fry oil come on top surface (med flame).
4.Add Peas.Mix well, fry 2-3 mins.
5.Add water.Mix well, bring a boil and cook until peas half done (med flame).
6.Add Basmati Rice (Washed & Soaked), water, mint leaves chopped, Green Chillies Sliced & salt.Bring a boil (med high) & cover until water dries up.
7.sprinkle all spice powder & brown onion. Cover and simmer for 15 mins.
8.Matar Pulao is ready to serve with raita and salat. #UrduRecipe
